Hello! Yesterday my family and I cleaned out the garage and found some wool, knitting needles, and a crochet hook. I have decided to try crochet before knitting and this is what I have made so far. The bottom image was my first attempt at making a square but as you can see it didn't work out. The top image is a actual square that I made. Im going to make a lot of squares with different colours and eventually turn it into a cardigan.

Your post reminds me of a hat I crochet. It looked great. The problem was the half treble crochet stitch I had used allowed the wind to blow straight into my ears.
I think a cardigan with your crochet squares will look fantastic. I wonder how many you will need? Do you have a style in mind? Enjoy being creative with your crocheting, looking forward to seeing the completed garment.

I love your idea of creating a whole lot of squares then putting them together to make a cardigan. Would you do these different colours?
